Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Welcomes New Dutch and Austrian Ambassadors

Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received copies of the credentials of Rochus Pronk, the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Axel Wech, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Iraq, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Baghdad on Friday.

According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that Fuad Hussein welcomed Rochus Pronk as the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Iraq. The Foreign Minister expressed his wishes for Pronk’s success in his diplomatic duties and emphasized Iraq’s determination to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation between Iraq and the Netherlands in fields of mutual interest.

Rochus Pronk expressed gratitude for the reception and affirmed his commitment to enhancing Iraqi-Dutch relations and cooperation to benefit both nations’ common interests.

In a separate statement, Fuad Hussein also received Axel Wech, the new Ambassador of Austria, reiterating Iraq’s commitment to fostering relations with Austria and enhancing cooperation in diverse areas of mutual interest.

Ambassador Axel Wech conveyed his appreciation for the welcome and emphasized his dedication to advancing Iraqi-Austrian relations and expanding cooperation to serve both countries and their people.
