Weather Forecast: Temperatures to Drop Starting Mid-Next Week


Baghdad: The Iraqi Meteorological Organization announced the weather forecast for the coming days, predicting a drop in temperatures starting next Monday, due to a relatively moderate air mass moving from southern Europe towards the region.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the organization said, “The weather tomorrow, Saturday, will be generally clear, with temperatures similar to those recorded the previous day.” It added, “The maximum temperatures on Saturday in all Iraqi governorates will be as follows: Dohuk 41 degrees Celsius, Sulaimaniyah 42, Erbil and Anbar 44, Nineveh 45, Kirkuk 46, Salah al-Din and Karbala 47, Baghdad, Diyala, Babylon, and Najaf 48, Diwaniyah, Muthanna, and Wasit 49, and Maysan, Dhi Qar, and Basra 50.”



The statement continued, “The weather on Sunday will be clear across the country, with temperatures similar to those recorded the previous day.” He indicated that “Monday will see clear skies across the country, with temperatures similar in the central and southern regions and slightly lower in the north. Tuesday will also be clear across the country, with temperatures slightly lower in the central and southern regions and similar in the north.”
