Erbil: The Counter-Terrorism Directorate in the Kurdistan Region announced early Friday morning the interception and destruction of three explosive-laden drones targeting the city of Erbil.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate stated in an official statement: “Available information indicates that the International Coalition forces were able to shoot down the three drones in Erbil’s airspace between 2:17 and 2:25 AM.”

The statement confirmed: “The operation to intercept and destroy the drones resulted in no casualties or injuries.”
