United nations: Settler attacks in the West Bank have reached “intolerable levels”: The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the occupied Palestinian territory warned of escalating attacks by Israeli settlers in the West Bank, stressing that they have reached “intolerable levels.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the situation in the town of Qusra in the Nablus Governorate has witnessed a continuous escalation since the establishment of an Israeli settlement outpost near the town, located in Area B of the occupied West Bank, in November 2015.

The UN office stated that reports indicate settlers have tightened their control over the area west of the town. This development has coincided with an increase in the frequency of attacks targeting Palestinian residents. The attacks have included home invasions, physical assaults, vandalism, theft, arson, and an attack on a mosque in the town.

The UN office further explained that last month, settlers from an outpost located in th
e Ras al-Ain area of Qusra cut off water and electricity supplies to three neighboring Palestinian homes.
