Hilla: The body of a young man was recovered from the Euphrates River north of Hilla. The river police of the Babil Police Command retrieved the body in the Musayyib district on Sunday, four hours after the man drowned.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babil Police Media Director, Colonel Ammar al-Shammari, stated that the police recovered the body of the young man after receiving a report of his drowning while swimming. The body has since been transferred to the forensic medicine department. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
