Baghdad: The head of the Supreme Islamic Council, Sheikh Hammam Hammoudi, emphasized on Sunday the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen the state and its institutions’ ability to confront challenges, consolidate the rule of law, and protect national security. He called for adopting a comprehensive national vision in addressing these challenges.
According to Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Hammoudi’s media office released a statement detailing his recent meeting with Lieutenant General Abdul Amir al-Shammari, Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. The meeting focused on discussing the latest developments on the national scene, addressing the challenges facing the region, and ensuring the maintenance of internal stability, enforcement of the rule of law, and preservation of Iraqi sovereignty.
The statement highlighted Sheikh Hamoudi’s emphasis on the importance of ongoing efforts to bolster the state’s and its institutions’ capabilities to address various challenges. He reiterated the need for a comprehensive national vision to tackle these issues, prioritizing the supreme Iraqi interest as a foundation for positions and policies.
