Baghdad: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning for Technical Affairs, Dr. Maher Hammad Johaan, held a significant meeting with the Head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, Lieutenant General Zaid Hoshi Al-Moussawi, focusing on the financial aspects and strategic support for the Service’s projects slated for 2026.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussion centered around the approval of the Counter-Terrorism Service’s budget for 2026, addressing its funding requirements, and examining the specifications of several ongoing and future projects. The meeting also explored the intricacies of contracting and financing, ensuring necessary adjustments were made to align with the planned objectives.
Dr. Johaan reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to collaborate closely with the Counter-Terrorism Service under the guidance of the Minister of Planning. He emphasized that the Ministry would actively monitor the Service’s needs and coordinate plans in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, facilitating the execution of essential procedures.
Lieutenant General Al-Moussawi outlined the Service’s urgent requirements and priority initiatives, stressing the value of sustained cooperation with the Ministry of Planning. He highlighted that this partnership is crucial for overcoming challenges, accelerating processes, and supporting the Service’s strategic implementations aligned with prioritized approvals.

In a gesture of appreciation, the Head of the Counter-Terrorism Service awarded the Service’s shield to Dr. Johaan, recognizing the Ministry’s efforts in enhancing collaborative frameworks.
