Al-walid: Two vehicles were seized after their dollar value was manipulated, causing a loss of public funds exceeding 7 million dinars. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Border Ports Authority announced the seizure of the vehicles at the Al-Walid border crossing. The manipulation of the goods’ dollar value led to a significant loss amounting to 7,070,000 Iraqi dinars.
In a statement, the Authority detailed that detachments from the Al-Walid border crossing directorate intercepted two vehicles loaded with chicken parts. The discovery of the manipulative practices prompted immediate action to prevent further financial losses to public funds.
A formal seizure report was prepared, and the two vehicles, along with the investigative documents, have been referred to the Al-Walid Customs Police Station. Legal measures are expected to be taken against those responsible for the manipulation, as the authorities continue their efforts to combat such fraudulent activities.
