PMF Executes Security Operation in Ain al-Tamr District with Army Air Support


Karbala: The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) are conducting a large-scale security operation in the Ain al-Tamr district of Karbala, with support from the army’s air force. The Middle Euphrates Operations Command of the PMF initiated this operation to survey and search the area and verify security information.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was launched under the guidance of Major General Ali al-Hamdani, the PMF’s Middle Euphrates Operations Commander. It was coordinated with the Karbala Operations Command and the Karbala Police Command, following intelligence reports regarding the presence of wanted individuals in the area.



The operation spans from the Bardawil area to the Darawish orchards and involves units from the Ali al-Akbar Brigade and the Special Forces Regiment. These units are accompanied by explosives disposal teams, intelligence units, and the Command’s communications department, with air support provided by Army Aviation.



Hussein Abdul Ali Abu al-Hail, the Command’s Deputy Director of Operations, stated that the forces conducted thorough searches and verified the security information and identities of civilians in the area. He further noted that the forces returned at 1:00 PM after completing their objectives and emphasized the continuation of security missions within the designated area.
