Al-hilla: The Ministry of Justice announced the launch of a vocational training course in carpentry for 40 inmates at the Hilla Correctional Facility.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated that the Hilla Correctional Facility, part of the Iraqi Correctional Department, initiated this course as a component of their vocational training and rehabilitation programs. These programs aim to develop the skills of inmates and channel their energies towards positive outcomes.
The course offers practical training in carpentry fundamentals and craft skills, under the supervision of specialized staff. This initiative is intended to enhance the professional abilities of inmates and equip them with practical skills that could be beneficial in their future lives.
The Ministry emphasized that this course aligns with the Iraqi Correctional Department’s strategy to expand training and rehabilitation programs in correctional institutions. It aims to strengthen the vocational aspect of rehabilitation, supporting the development of inmates’ capabilities and preparing them for successful reintegration into society after serving their sentences.
