Baghdad: Iraq has extended its condolences to Colombia over the victims of an earthquake that struck several parts of the country. In a statement received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA, the Foreign Ministry said Iraq expressed its solidarity with and support for Colombia following the earthquake, which caused tragic loss of life and material damage.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Foreign Ministry stated, “At this difficult time, Iraq extends its sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the government and people of Colombia, and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured.” Iraq also reaffirmed its readiness to provide support and assistance to help Colombia overcome the repercussions of the disaster, expressing hope that the country would recover from the effects of the crisis as soon as possible.
