Baghdad: The Presidency of the Iraqi House of Representatives condemned an attack targeting the private office of Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, as well as the residence of the Director of the Intelligence Agency in the region. The attack is considered a dangerous and unacceptable development, affecting Iraq’s sovereignty, the security of its citizens, and the stability of its institutions.
According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Parliament Presidency emphasized that the attack represents a significant infringement on Iraq’s sovereignty and the stability of its governmental institutions. The statement stressed the importance of the Kurdistan Region’s security as an integral part of Iraq’s overall security framework. It highlighted that any attack on its territory, officials, or institutions is unacceptable under any circumstances or pretexts.
The Parliament Presidency called on the federal government and relevant authorities to investigate the circumst
