Baghdad: Security expert Ahmed Al-Sharifi has been banned from appearing in the media for 90 days following remarks made during a broadcast on Al-Rasheed satellite channel. The Media and Communications Commission in Iraq issued the ban, which applies to both local and foreign media outlets operating in the country.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the commission’s decision was prompted by statements from Al-Sharifi that were perceived as inciting violence and hatred, potentially leading to societal division. The commission has indicated that any media outlet violating this ban will face legal repercussions.
