Istanbul: Turkey announced that Istanbul Airport recorded the highest number of flights and passengers in Turkey and Europe on Sunday, with 1,739 flights and 290,287 passengers.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu explained in a post on the Turkish platform “InSocial” on Monday that the airport achieved a new record in daily flight and passenger numbers. He emphasized that the strategic importance of Istanbul Airport in the international aviation sector is increasing day by day.
Uraloglu further stated that the new record figures reaffirm the airport’s status as a global hub for flights. The significant milestone highlights the airport’s capacity and efficiency in handling a large volume of air traffic, thereby enhancing its reputation on the international stage.
