Abu ghraib: The Popular Mobilization Forces have successfully handed over a substantial tract of land, totaling over 16 million square meters, in the Abu Ghraib area. This land, now free of mines and war remnants, is slated for the development of a new residential complex.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Explosives Directorate of the Popular Mobilization Forces announced the completion of demining operations, enabling the transfer of the land to investment entities. This critical step paves the way for the construction of the Al-Jawahiri residential complex.

The directorate emphasized that the land handover marks a significant milestone, as it ensures the area is safe and secure for future development. The initiative highlights a notable advancement in transforming previously hazardous areas into spaces suitable for civilian use and development.
