Babil: The Babil Narcotics Affairs Directorate has successfully dismantled an international drug trafficking network comprising three foreign nationals, including a woman. The operation resulted in the seizure of five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine from the suspects.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the network was dismantled in two separate operations following extensive intelligence efforts and meticulous surveillance. Some of the seized drugs were reportedly concealed inside one of the suspects’ bodies.

The General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances has confirmed its ongoing intelligence and security operations aimed at pursuing drug traffickers. Efforts are underway to dry up the sources of drug trafficking and ensure the suspects are referred to the judiciary for appropriate punishment.
