Baghdad: Drones, camouflaged cameras, and tracking devices were seized in Najaf. The Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency announced the seizure of drones, camouflaged cameras, and tracking devices in Najaf Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Interior stated in a press release: “As part of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to pursue illegal activities, the Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency, acting on precise intelligence, apprehended an individual promoting the sale of drones, camouflaged and hidden cameras, and prohibited GPS tracking devices through a TikTok page in Najaf Governorate.”

The statement continued: “After obtaining the necessary judicial approvals, a specialized team was formed and the aforementioned page was monitored. Through precise field and intelligence operations, the suspect was lured into a trap and arrested. Four drones, four camouflaged and hidden cameras, and eleven prohibited GPS tracking devices were seized from his possession. The necessary legal measures were taken against him in accordance with Article 4 of the Counter-Terrorism Law and under the supervision of the competent judiciary.”
