Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi met with British Ambassador to Iraq Irfan Siddiq to discuss bilateral relations and regional and international developments. A statement from the Speaker’s office said: “Al-Halbousi received Siddiq today, Thursday, and during the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral relations, regional and international developments, and a number of issues of common interest.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing the existing bilateral relationship between Iraq and the United Kingdom. Both parties emphasized the importance of collaboration in addressing regional and global challenges. They also exchanged views on issues that are of mutual interest to both nations, highlighting the need for continued dialogue and cooperation.
