Baghdad: Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, head of the Supreme Islamic Council, reinforced the importance of maintaining national stability during a meeting with Sheikh Asaad Al-Muslawi, head of the Babil Provincial Council, and his delegation. The discussion focused on recent national developments, the situation in the province, and the events in Jurf al-Nasr.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from Sheikh Hamoudi’s office highlighted his declaration that the state’s current constitutional democratic system and stability are the results of the sacrifices made by martyrs. Hamoudi emphasized that all political forces bear the responsibility of preserving this stability and preventing any attempts to incite sedition.
Hamoudi urged political leaders to avoid inflammatory rhetoric, advocating instead for dialogue and adherence to the legal and judicial process. He called for cooperation and partnership among all sectors to address challenges effectively, aiming to enhance the country’s security and stability while improving services for its citizens.
