Istanbul: Trkiye, Egypt, and Qatar are calling for international pressure on Israel regarding the Gaza agreement. Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar strongly condemned the recent Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the deaths of civilians, including women and children. They called on the international community and the peace council led by US President Donald Trump to exert pressure on Israel to take the necessary steps to ensure adherence to the ceasefire and prevent further escalation.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a joint statement issued Thursday, the three mediating countries expressed their deep concern over the ongoing Israeli violations. The statement emphasized that Israel’s intensification of its attacks at a critical juncture, marked by intensive efforts to implement the “Comprehensive Plan to End the Conflict in Gaza” and to take constructive steps in the negotiation process, would hinder regional and international efforts.
The mediating countries stressed the necessity for Israel to fully comply with all its commitments under the ceasefire agreement and to refrain from any actions that could undermine the truce. The Palestinian Authority called on the international community and the UN-led Peace Council, backed by UN Security Council Resolution 2803, to pressure Israel to take the necessary steps to ensure adherence to the ceasefire and prevent further escalation.
