Baghdad: Ahlam Al-Lami, the head of the Iraqi Bar Association, has expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation for the directives issued by the Judicial Council to facilitate the work of lawyers and drop complaints against them.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Lami specifically thanked the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Dr. Faiq Zaidan, as well as the Council members, for their cooperation and attention to the affairs of lawyers. She highlighted the Supreme Judicial Council’s directive from its ninth session, which emphasized the importance of collaborating with the Bar Association and aiding lawyers in performing their duties effectively.
Al-Lami praised the Council’s decision to dismiss all complaints filed by the Council against lawyers in its official capacity, coinciding with “Lawyer’s Day.” She stated that these actions reflect the strong cooperation between the judiciary and the Bar Association and reinforce the role of lawyers as crucial partners in achieving justice and the rule of law.
