Baghdad: The Ministry of Education has issued a directive to ensure the acceptance of students with disabilities and special educational needs, irrespective of gender, in primary schools. This directive mandates that schools with special education classes and programs must accommodate these students.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the directive comes from the Ministry’s General Directorate of Public, Private, and Foreign Education. The initiative aims to promote inclusive education by integrating students with special needs into mainstream educational environments. This move ensures that all students have equal access to educational resources and opportunities, fostering a more inclusive society.
