Baghdad: Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf arrived in Najaf province on Friday.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Ghalibaf began his visit to Najaf province by heading to the grave of martyr commander Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, where he visited the shrine and recited Al-Fatiha in tribute to his soul.

Ghalibaf expressed gratitude to the Iraqi people for the funeral ceremonies of Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei in Najaf and holy Karbala. He further acknowledged the longstanding tradition of the Iraqi people hosting millions of Iranian pilgrims during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, noting that this hospitality is a recurring gesture by the Iraqis.
