Baghdad: President Nizar Amidi has emphasized the importance of political and social stability as essential components for advancing the reform process. During a meeting held in Baghdad with a delegation from the National Civil Dialogue Coordination Committee, President Amidi outlined his vision for fostering national unity and supporting government responsibilities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Presidential Media Office issued a press release detailing the discussions between President Amidi and representatives from various political forces and parties. The meeting focused on the latest developments both locally and regionally, and explored ways to unify visions and solidify consensus among national forces. This unified approach aims to create a firm foundation for confronting current challenges and mitigating their repercussions.

The President highlighted the necessity of expanding dialogue and understanding to bridge differing viewpoints, thereby strengthening national unity. He also underscored the importance of political and social stability in advancing reforms, improving services, combating corruption, and addressing other pressing issues affecting citizens’ lives. President Amidi called for safeguarding freedom of opinion and expression, empowering women, and supporting civil society organizations, which he views as fundamental to building a cohesive society and a democratic state.
