Iraqi Meteorological Organization Forecasts Continued High Temperatures Across the Country


Baghdad: The weather forecast predicts continued high temperatures in the coming days. The Iraqi Meteorological Organization expects temperatures to continue rising, with variations in weather conditions across different regions.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the organization indicated that Monday’s weather will be generally clear, except for the eastern parts of the northern region, which will become partly cloudy in the afternoon. Winds will be light to moderate northwesterly, becoming active in some areas of the central and southern regions, causing light local dust. Temperatures will be similar to those recorded the previous day, and horizontal visibility will be very good, ranging between 8 and 10 km, decreasing to 4-6 km in dusty conditions.



The expected maximum temperatures for Monday in all Iraqi governorates are as follows: Dohuk 41°C, Sulaymaniyah 43°C, Erbil and Anbar 44°C, Nineveh and Karbala 45°C, Baghdad 46°C, Salah al-Din, Diyala, Babylon, Diwaniyah, and Najaf 47°C, Kirkuk, Wasit, Maysan, Dhi Qar, and Muthanna 48°C, and Basra 49°C.



Tuesday’s weather will be clear with some clouds in the central and northern regions, and clear in the southern region. Temperatures are expected to rise slightly in the central region and remain similar in the northern and southern regions.



Wednesday’s weather will be clear with some clouds across the country, with temperatures remaining similar in the central and northern regions and rising slightly in the southern region.



Thursday’s weather will be clear with some clouds across the country, and temperatures will be similar to those recorded the previous day.
