Wasit: The Wasit Court of Appeals has announced the successful activation of an electronic payment system across its judicial facilities and affiliated courts.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Supreme Judicial Council released a statement detailing the initiative as part of a broader digital transformation strategy. “This step comes as a continuation of the package of modernization reforms adopted by the Supreme Judicial Council, aimed at digitizing the judicial system and developing mechanisms for providing services to citizens,” the statement said.
The council further emphasized that the new electronic payment system marks a significant advancement in handling financial transactions related to lawsuits and official procedures. The statement continued, “Activating this system represents a qualitative leap in how litigants deal with financial procedures related to lawsuits and official transactions, as clients can now complete payments electronically without having to wait in traditional service queues.”
This move is anticipated to streamline processes within the legal system, offering greater convenience and efficiency to litigants and citizens interacting with the judicial system.
