Six Containers Seized for Violating Import Regulations at Umm Qasr Central Port


Umm qasr: Six containers violating import regulations were seized at the Umm Qasr Central Port.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Border Ports Authority announced the seizure, which was conducted by its detachments at the Umm Qasr Central Port Directorate. The action was based on information from the Authority’s own sources.



The seized containers were found to contain bicycles, plasma screens, new clothing, and household furniture. All of the containers had surpassed the legally permitted storage period at the port without being claimed by their owners. A formal seizure report has been prepared and will be submitted to the competent investigating judge to initiate the necessary legal proceedings.
