Erbil: Mosul FC achieved its first victory against its guest Diyala FC with a score of 2-1, in the second round of the Iraqi Premier League. The match took place at Franso Hariri Stadium in Erbil, Mosul’s designated home ground, at 5:30 PM.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the first half ended with Mosul leading 1-0 thanks to a goal by Andre Al-Sanati in the 36th minute. Mosul scored its second goal in the 39th minute through Kilan Luqman.

In the second half, Diyala FC narrowed the gap in the final moments when Mohammed Khudair scored Diyala’s only goal in the 90+4 minute. With this victory, Mosul FC temporarily moved to first place with four points, while Diyala FC remained in seventh place with three points.
