Bangkok: The Iraqi youth national team held its final training session on Monday in preparation for its match against Iran on Tuesday. This match marks the team’s third friendly encounter as part of their ongoing training camp in Thailand, aimed at preparing for the upcoming AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the training session was graced by the presence of Abdul Razzaq Akram Al-Shalah, a member of the Iraqi Football Association’s executive committee. The team is gearing up for the qualifiers, scheduled to begin on the 31st of this month and conclude on the 6th of September.

Iraq is placed in Group F for the qualifiers, where they will compete against Turkmenistan, the UAE, and Thailand, the host nation. The team’s preparation is crucial as they aim to secure a spot in the prestigious AFC U-20 Asian Cup.
