Zurich: The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has turned down Adnan Darjal’s appeal to halt the operations of the Iraqi Football Association’s executive committee. Darjal, a former president of the association, sought an injunction for an immediate suspension and the establishment of a provisional body to oversee the association’s activities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the decision was made public on Monday, putting an end to Darjal’s attempt to disrupt the current administrative structure. The CAS ruling ensures that the existing executive committee will continue its work without interruption.
