Washington: US Vice President J.D. Vance affirmed the United States’ success in maintaining oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz at rates ranging between 7 and 15 million barrels per day.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during an interview with Newsmax on Monday, Vance emphasized that Iran does not possess the actual capability to disrupt international trade routes or completely close maritime passages. He explained, “American military and diplomatic efforts have succeeded in securing the passage of up to 15 million barrels of oil and gas on some days, despite Iran’s continued threats to close the Strait of Hormuz.”
