Diyala: The Diyala Sports Club boxing team won seven medals at the conclusion of the Northern Region Boxing Championship.

According to National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), Firas Hamza, Secretary of the Diyala Sports Club, stated that the Zuhairat Sports Club hosted the closing ceremony of the Northern Region Boxing Championship, which saw participation from over 120 boxers representing 13 teams.

Hamza added that the tournament concluded with significant success for the Diyala team, as seven of its players secured medals, thereby enhancing the club’s record of achievements. The medalists and their respective accolades include Harith Atheer Mazhar, who clinched first place with a gold medal; Haider Mohammed Dhiab, who secured second place with a silver medal; Haider Sanwan Mahmoud, who also earned a silver medal for second place; and Abdullah Mohammed Ibrahim, Ghaith Mohammed Ghazi, Abbas Mohammed Fouad, and Abdul Rahman Mohammed Ibrahim, each of whom won third place with bronze medals.
