Baghdad: Military intelligence has announced the arrest of nine drug dealers and traffickers, including a foreign national, in Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Military Intelligence Directorate reported that the arrests were made following precise intelligence received by the Intelligence and Security Department. Joint detachments established surprise checkpoints in various areas of the capital, Baghdad, to carry out the operation.

Military intelligence personnel were able to apprehend the nine individuals in different parts of the capital. The statement further noted that those arrested, along with the confiscated materials, were handed over to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings.
