Baghdad: The President of the Republic, Nizar Amidi, held a meeting with the National Approach Alliance to discuss recent political developments and the Alliance’s support for the government’s program implementation. The meeting occurred at the Peace Palace in Baghdad on Monday, where President Amidi welcomed a delegation led by Secretary-General Hazem al-Khalidi.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions included participation from the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) parliamentary bloc, Harim Kamal Agha, along with several other bloc members. The presidential statement highlighted that the meeting focused on the country’s latest political and economic developments. President Amidi stressed the importance of backing the government’s efforts to fulfill citizens’ needs and enhance public services. He underscored the need for ongoing collaboration to tackle current challenges effectively.

President Amidi also highlighted the significance of unifying national efforts to ensure state institutions operate within constitutional and legal boundaries. This, he noted, would enhance cooperation among political forces and support the reform and reconstruction process. He emphasized the critical need to consolidate national partnership to overcome crises and achieve the aspirations of the Iraqi people.

The delegation expressed their support for the government’s initiatives, reiterating their dedication to ongoing coordination and cooperation to serve the national interest and promote stability and development.
