Baghdad: The President of the University of Baghdad has signed the institution’s first e-book, marking a pivotal moment in the university’s digital transformation efforts. During the 23rd session of the University of Baghdad Council for the 2025-2026 academic year, Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Al-Zughaibi officially launched the e-book management system, signaling the start of a project designed to overhaul administrative processes and transition towards a fully digital university environment.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the University Council has agreed to gradually implement the e-book system across all departments at the University of Baghdad. This initiative aims to automate official correspondence, streamline the circulation of books, complete transactions electronically, and enhance the speed and accuracy of administrative procedures. This move is in line with the university’s strategy to broaden its digital transformation efforts and incorporate modern technologies into its operations.

Dr. Al-Zughaibi highlighted the necessity of developing electronic systems and adopting them through strategic mechanisms to ensure efficient performance and user-friendly experiences. He noted that the introduction of the e-book management system is a practical step towards creating a more efficient and adaptable digital administrative framework, ultimately enhancing the quality of services and procedures within the university.

The university president also instructed that a letter of thanks and appreciation be issued on behalf of the University of Baghdad Council to the committee responsible for establishing the system. This gesture acknowledges their efforts in completing the project under the Electronic Computing Center’s supervision, showcasing the university staff’s capability to innovate and modernize the university’s working environment.
