Baghdad: The Ministry of Planning has organized a large-scale blood donation campaign in collaboration with the Ministry of Health’s National Blood Transfusion Center. This initiative aims to bolster governmental institutions’ roles in social responsibility.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Planning emphasized that the campaign is designed to support the blood supply for patients, particularly those with chronic illnesses like cancer. The initiative is part of the Ministry’s continuous efforts to promote values of giving and volunteerism among its employees.

The Ministry highlighted that blood donation is a critical humanitarian act that helps save lives and fulfills the demand for various blood types in healthcare institutions. The campaign was overseen by specialized medical teams from the Ministry of Health to ensure proper procedures.

Medical teams conducted thorough examinations and provided medical guidance to donors to ensure their safety. The donation process adhered to approved health standards and was executed smoothly.

The campaign saw active participation from directors general and employees of the Ministry and its departments. Participants expressed pride in being part of this humanitarian endeavor, noting that the initiative fosters solidarity with patients and aids in supporting the health sector.
