Babil: The Babil Provincial Council, during an extraordinary session held today, voted to change the name of Jurf al-Nasr district to Nasr City. The decision was reached with unanimous approval from the council members.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Council Chairman Asaad al-Muslawi stated that the name change was due to the district’s importance in preserving the history of the war against ISIS.
