Baghdad: Civil Defense teams have successfully extinguished a fire that erupted at the Al-Nahrawan oil tanks, located southeast of Baghdad, without any reported injuries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Civil Defense directorate announced in a press release that their teams were able to completely control a significant fire that occurred within the black oil tanks designated for brick factories in the Al-Nahrawan area. The operation involved the extensive participation of 14 specialized firefighting teams, along with additional support teams, ensuring there were no casualties.

The directorate further elaborated that the specialized firefighting teams executed direct assaults and precise penetrations within the affected tanks to tackle the fire’s source directly. These tactical maneuvers were instrumental in containing and fully extinguishing the fire swiftly, preventing it from spreading to neighboring tanks and mitigating the risk of the situation escalating.
