Basra: Al-Minaa FC intensified its preparations for its match against Al-Gharafa FC, scheduled for Wednesday in Basra, as part of the third round of the Iraqi Premier League. Training sessions held at the Basra Sports City Stadium witnessed intensive preparations under the supervision of coach Hussein Abdul Wahid, amidst enthusiasm and determination from the players to achieve a positive result against Al-Gharafa. This comes on the heels of their 2-1 victory over Zakho, a match in which the team delivered a remarkable performance.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, despite the financial crisis the club is facing and the players’ earlier reluctance to train, they returned to training sessions following promises made by Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani. They are continuing their preparations, defying the financial difficulties, striving to please Al-Minaa’s fans and achieve positive results in the new football season.

Al-Minaa currently has four points from two matches, having drawn 0-0 with Al-Zawraa and defeated Zakho 2-1.
