Baghdad: Civil Defense teams extinguished a fire that broke out in the administration building of a school located within the Bab al-Zubair Colleges complex of the University of Basra, in the Qibla district, with no casualties reported.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Civil Defense media office stated that firefighters were able to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to classrooms and the school building. The incident resulted only in material damage.

It was further added that the cause of the fire will be determined by forensic investigators.
