Baghdad: Baghdad Governor Atwan al-Atwani has instructed the municipalities directorate to embark on a significant cleaning operation on the road stretching from Madain to the Rustamiya Bridge. This effort, scheduled for tomorrow, aims to clear waste, debris, and encroachments to enhance the eastern entrance’s appearance.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Governor al-Atwani emphasized the urgency for the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Municipalities to accelerate the development of this route. The enhancements are to align with Cabinet Resolution 585 of 2025, ensuring the preservation of the road’s right-of-way, given the ministry’s responsibility over the area.
