Baghdad: The President of the Republic, Nizar Amidi, emphasized the necessity of establishing a just state and prioritizing Iraq’s interests above all.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Amidi, during a speech at the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday at the Qadiriyya Shrine, highlighted the exemplary conduct of Prophet Muhammad in his interactions with people. He urged the incorporation of these values into daily life and societal interactions, advocating for national unity, coexistence, and tolerance to bridge divisions among citizens.

President Amidi pointed to the significant challenges facing the region, noting that ongoing crises and conflicts only exacerbate suffering and hinder development and stability. He called for collective efforts to address these challenges, asserting that Iraqis deserve a dignified life, better opportunities, and a secure future.

He stressed the shared responsibility of state institutions, political forces, and society in achieving these goals by placing Iraq’s interests first. Additionally, he reiterated Iraq’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote security and peace and emphasized the importance of fostering strong relations with neighboring countries for regional stability and prosperity.
