New york: Gold prices fell on Tuesday after hitting their highest level in more than three months earlier in the day, as investors turned their attention to upcoming US inflation data and a speech by Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh this week.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, spot gold fell 0.2 percent to $4,640.39 per ounce, while US gold futures settled at $4,696. Among other precious metals, spot silver fell 1.3 percent to $68.01 per ounce, platinum dropped 1.2 percent to $1,853.85, and palladium declined nearly 1 percent to $1,345.26.
