Nepal: The death toll from the Bhote Koshi flood disaster in Nepal has reached 626, with 2,426 individuals reported missing, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) announced on August 29.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the latest update issued by NDRRMA at 10 am revealed that the highest number of bodies recovered was in Chitwan district, where 233 bodies and various human remains have been found. Other affected areas reported the following fatalities: Nawalparasi East with 158, Nuwakot with 51, Gorkha with 48, Nawalparasi West with 47, Dhading with 45, Tanahun with 31, and Rasua with 13.
