Manchester: Manchester City secured their second consecutive victory, defeating Crystal Palace 4-1 in the opening match of the second round of the English Premier League. City took the lead through their star striker Erling Haaland, who opened his scoring account for the season by netting the first goal against Crystal Palace in the 17th minute. Rayan Cherki then added City’s second and third goals in the 54th and 59th minutes respectively.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in the 84th minute, Haaland returned to score his second and the visitors’ fourth goal. Crystal Palace scored their only goal in the 56th minute through an own goal by Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
