Southern Technical University in Basra Launches Specialized Center for Turkish Language Education


Basra: The Southern Technical University has completed the requirements for opening a specialized center dedicated to teaching the Turkish language. University President Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq announced that this new center aligns with the university’s strategy to expand continuing education programs and diversify the skills available to its students and staff. This initiative aims to meet the demands of scientific and cultural openness and to enhance opportunities for international collaboration.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Dr. Atiq highlighted that the center will offer progressive educational programs and courses in the Turkish language. These programs will be overseen by specialized staff, enabling participants to develop skills in reading, writing, and conversing in Turkish.



Dr. Atiq further emphasized that this initiative is a significant addition to the university’s educational and professional development pathways. It also aims to foster a university environment that is increasingly open to global languages and cultures, thereby enriching the educational experience and professional competencies of its community.
