Diyala: The Ministry of Education announced the recovery of 1,367,357,427 dinars to the state treasury through efforts by the General Directorate of Education in Diyala. This sum was reclaimed by auditing staff and cross-referencing job data with other ministries and government departments over a period of ten months.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Minister of Education’s media office released a statement detailing the process. The statement explained that matching employee data with government entities, especially the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, uncovered instances of duplicate salaries and financial entitlements.

The statement further mentioned that the Job Cross-Referencing Unit is actively reviewing the data received. The unit is focused on resolving cases eligible for recovery, following established legal and financial procedures.
