Karbala: The Karbala Police Department’s Anti-Crime Office successfully apprehended a dangerous repeat offender. A recent operation led to the capture of a suspect involved in multiple criminal activities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a specialized team under the command of the Director of the Karbala Anti-Crime Department played a crucial role in tracking down the suspect. The individual was wanted for several criminal cases and had been evading authorities for over a year, operating outside the province.

The suspect, identified as a repeat offender, was implicated in numerous cases under Articles (405) and (442) of the Iraqi Penal Code. His involvement in armed robberies added to his lengthy criminal record. The Anti-Crime Unit’s efforts culminated in a strategic operation that ensured his capture upon his entry into the holy city of Karbala.

The operation was described as well-executed, leading to the suspect being handed over to the competent investigative authorities. This arrest marks a significant step in addressing crime in the region and ensuring that legal measures are pursued against those involved in criminal activities.
