Baghdad: Iraqi Airways management discusses avenues for joint cooperation with the local government of Najaf Governorate. The Director General of Iraqi Airways, Mustafa Talib, met with the Governor of Najaf, Youssef Kanawi, to discuss ways to improve operational mechanisms and enhance cooperation between Najaf International Airport and Iraqi Airways.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Transport stated in a press release that the meeting addressed several important issues related to improving passenger services, supporting the national carrier’s operations, and increasing direct flights from the airport to various domestic, regional, and international destinations.

The statement further explained that this meeting comes within the framework of directives from the Minister of Transport, Wahab al-Hassani, aimed at developing Iraqi Airways services and supporting air traffic at all Iraqi airports.
