Suspect Apprehended with $25,000 Bribe in Salah al-Din


Salah al-din: Police forces arrested a suspect in Salah al-Din on charges of bribery and extortion.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Salah al-Din Police Command reported that a person filed a complaint within the Eighth Security District (Sulaiman Bek), alleging that the accused, identified as (S. Gh. M.), attempted to extort and blackmail him for $25,000.



A joint task force was formed from the Sulaiman Bek Police Department in conjunction with the Tikrit Anti-Crime Unit. A well-planned ambush was set up, leading to the apprehension of the accused in the Al-Alam area. The suspect was caught red-handed, and the bribe money was found in his possession.



The police statement confirmed that the suspect’s confession was officially recorded, and legal procedures are underway against him.
